Today we started week 2 of the Couch 2 5K program. Starting with a 5 minute walking warm-up, then alternating 90 seconds of jogging with 2 minutes of walking for 20 minutes. It feels so good knowing I'm staying dedicated to the plan. I usually get bored and lazy by week 2 or 3 of a workout plan but I was actually looking forward to coming home and putting on my sneakers tonight. The stitch in my side isn't as bothersome as before but I am noticing a little pain in my left knee and shins. I think I may need a new pair of shoes. My Nikes have seen better days but overall I feel great. Plus, it helps that my hubby is doing it with me. 5k here we come!

ReplyDeleteI love C25K. It worked so well for me. I definitely think shoes can make a big difference too.
ReplyDeleteI did this before and it definitely worked for me. Right now I am avoiding running and walking outside all today. After living in Michigan and it always being flat Pittsburgh is making my calfs way too big because of these hills and my boots arent fitting so I just avoid everything currently lol.

ReplyDeleteThats great! Have you picked some races yet? I tried the c25k as well but I couldnt stick to it. Now I just run till im out of breath then walk till my heart rate comes down and repeat LOL
